I heart mentalfloss

Mentalfloss is kind of a genius site and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t absorb half of my crazy trivia knowledge from there. But I really love that one day a week it takes time to post things about libraries in a series called aptly, At the Libraries.

This week’s post has a great gif that serves as a reminder that there is a marked difference between Google and librarians. And if there’s one way to make me angry, it is to say to me “I can just Google that, right?”

And as a bonus, they include this stop action video done with the Yale card catalog. The video is ok, but I’m really more impressed by the size of yale’s card catalog! That’s like librarian porn to me!
